Do you have to operate the goldlift with all feet down?

YES, the goldlift has pressure sensors on each pad and unless each sensor is deactivted by ground pressure the boom will not lift. This is an important safety feature as without all legs down the unit would not be safe and easily topple over.

Can you deploy a leg up against the side of a bulding?

No, the goldlift is designed to have all 4 legs down below the height of the tracks so sandwiching a leg up against a fence of building is not possible. The reach and extension of the Goldlift does give you a tremendous ability to reach in to areas that may not be accessible from a deployable site.

What sized area can I deploy the Goldlift in?

You need a working area of 3.0 x 3.0 mtrs to deploy all legs.

Can I transport the goldlift up steps?

Yes, however you need to be careful and we recommend if a lot of step access is done you carry a short set or ramps to make this task a lot easier.

Driving up a flight of stairs is not recommended, the goldlift does have crane points to allow the goldlift to be craned into multi story buildings.

Is a diesel engine the only option?

No, a petrol engine is also available which is a little quieter, however diesel comes standard due to its dual inside / outside functions that make petrol units less popular.

How quickly can I remove the basket and what does it weigh?

To access tight areas the basket needs to be removed which takes about 30 seconds for 2 people. The basket itself is lightweight but strong aluminium construction and weighs 40kgs.

Can I get the Goldlift with an insulated boom?

No, insulating the goldlift is not possible due to the many functions it has. Insulation would change the configuration of the Goldlift and make it a lot less functional.

Are other sizes of Goldlift available?

YES a the Goldlift 12.55 is available and is identical to the 14.70 but except the jib has been de activated and the unit is a 200kg only capacity unit. It has a platform height of 10.50 meters.

A 19.00 meter goldlift will be availble in Australia sometime in 2007, along with the Goldlift 14.72 which has remote controllers. These will appear on the web site closer to their release date.
